The Bowery Mission
The Bowery Mission has served neighbors experiencing homelessness and hunger since the 1870s, when its neighborhood came to define the term “skid row.” Our children’s programs, known as Mont Lawn City Camp & Summer Camp, have served New York City youth since 1894.
Since the 1870s, The Bowery Mission has been a place of welcome, care and healing in New York City. Thanks to the support of friends like you, we serve our neighbors through Compassionate Care, Residential & Community Programs, Transitional Housing & Alumni Programs and Children’s Programs.

Our pilates classes are “pay what you can” for every class. All proceeds are directly given to the charity of the month. So donate before or after your class and make a difference today!
What your donations have accomplished
“These funds will support room and board costs for an orphaned girl for a full year at one of the orphanages where we work. The funds will also cover her school tuition expenses so she can attend school with all the books and supplies etc that she'll need, as well as receive special classes that will get her ahead - like computer science and spoken english and life skills to build her confidence, communication, creativity and critical thinking. She'll also have access to social and emotional counseling support through one of the C2C child psychologists. We really cannot thank you enough!”
